Producing Inexpensive, Eye-Catching Newsletters

This hands-on workshop demonstrates low-cost methods to create interesting newsletters that your target audiences will want to read during short-term projects or long-term programs.

bullet

You don't have to spend a lot of money on fancy paper and gloss to create newsletters that carry out their missions: getting the target audiences to read them so your message gets across.

bullet

The workshop features exercises where each participant will begin planning by determining your true audiences.

bullet

You will determine your audiences' interests so that your newsletter will appeal to them.  The workshop will assist you in clearly determining what your organization wants the audiences to do, which will help sharpen the focus of your newsletter.

bullet

Each participant will design (or re-design) a newsletter.  You will sketch the layout of a newsletter.  You will identify the methods most suitable for your message and audiences.

bullet

Many varieties of newsletters will be displayed so you may select the style that fits your mission best.

bullet

The vital art of headline writing will be taught and practiced thoroughly, because it is the second most important element after content of a newsletter.

While there will be some ancillary discussion of  computer-generated materials, enrollees should understand this workshop is about planning, targeting, creating, publishing and distributing newsletters that people will want to read on paper or through the Internet. This not a workshop on selecting software.

Special discounts are available for not-for-profit community organizations serving low-income households. Free training:  If your organization would like training but does not have the budget to pay for it, contact us regarding the 'shared-training cost-saver' arrangement.  Under this arrangement, your organization could receive a certain number of free seats in a seminar held at your building and using your basic equipment (e.g., LED projector and flip chart).  Contact us to get a list of places where this has worked very well for all parties.

Dallas-Fort Worth and Las Vegas areas:  Special discounts are available for seminars held in these areas.

We tailor each event or seminar to meet your needs.  You may select parts from any of our seminars and ask us to build a new seminar or event to match your preferences. Length: Seminars are typically full day but can be trimmed to a half-day.  They may also be condensed to key points for conference-style general session presentation of 45 minutes or break-out conference workshop of 90 to 120 minutes.

Privacy guaranteed: We absolutely do not share client information with anyone or anything in the Universe -- nobody, nothing, never.
