Train the Trainers

Making Technical Experts
Into Great Trainers

bullet

"Tell me, I forget.

bullet

Show me, I remember.

bullet

Involve me, I understand..."
    Attributed to Henry Ford

This course trains people with a lot of job information but little training experience to become great trainers. The course can transform a technically informed person into a relaxed, confident trainer from whom other people will want to learn.

The class emphasizes each person's individual strengths and shows how to enhance those individual capabilities so that they grow to become highly effective personal styles.

The class exercises assist the learners in creating a training plan with clear and certain goals along with methods that will produce the desired training results.

Each person will be offered a chance to practice during the class (on camera so self evaluation is possible).

By the end of the course, you will have a plan with:

bullet

A course development outline.

bullet

Brief analysis of the intended trainees.

bullet

List job functions.

bullet

Relevant educational background.

bullet

Any prerequisite skills and knowledge needed such as prior to training.

bullet

Specific description of what they should be able to do as a direct result of your training.

For example, after this course, you should be able to use your existing abilities along with new knowledge to conduct training so that your students will actually be able to do what you are teaching them.

bullet

You will be able to:
Determine the specific instructional goal for your course.  You will describe step-by-step the tasks the learner will be able to do if you succeed at the instructional goal.

bullet

Produce a Learning Environment Analysis.  Under what conditions and constraints will this training be class be conducted?  (Room-set, Audio-visual equipment, other equipment.)

bullet

Select high-tech and high risk A/V equipment or low-tech and low-risk.

bullet

Make a plan for peer review

(For a more comprehensive and advanced class, the course can be scheduled for two full days.)

Special discounts are available for not-for-profit community organizations serving low-income households. Free training:  If your organization would like training but does not have the budget to pay for it, contact us regarding the 'shared-training cost-saver' arrangement.  Under this arrangement, your organization could receive a certain number of free seats in a seminar held at your building and using your basic equipment (e.g., LED projector and flip chart).  Contact us to get a list of places where this has worked very well for all parties.

Dallas-Fort Worth and Las Vegas areas:  Special discounts are available for seminars held in these areas.

We tailor each event or seminar to meet your needs.  You may select parts from any of our seminars and ask us to build a new seminar or event to match your preferences. Length: Seminars are typically full day but can be trimmed to a half-day.  They may also be condensed to key points for conference-style general session presentation of 45 minutes or break-out conference workshop of 90 to 120 minutes.

Privacy guaranteed: We absolutely do not share client information with anyone or anything in the Universe -- nobody, nothing, never.
